If Felix fixes the building without getting hit by the bricks that Ralph throws at him, he (and the gameplayer) wins, and the Nicelanders then proceed to throw Ralph off the building and into the mud. His job is to wreck the apartment building of the locals who are called “Nicelanders.” As he wrecks the building, Fix-It Felix, Jr. Nine feet tall and 600 pounds, he’s a formidable force. Ralph is a big man in the world of arcade games. We are introduced to Ralph, a character in the 8-Bit arcade game Fix-It Felix Jr.

Litwak’s Family Fun Center is full of arcade games for all ages to enjoy but, when the lights go off and the doors close, the characters inside the arcade games live a life of their own. It’s a delightful, morally uplifting family movie.

WRECK-IT RALPH is Disney’s latest animated movie about the world of arcade game characters. Otherwise, however, WRECK-IT RALPH is a morally uplifting, redemptive family movie all ages can enjoy. There is some ambiguity when Ralph is considered a “good” “Bad Guy.” There’s also some light animated violence and scatological humor. It has a great moral worldview of loving your neighbor as yourself, literally “your neighbor” in Ralph’s case. WRECK-IT RALPH is a funny, entertaining, moving, well-crafted story. He also learns what it means to be a true friend. In the process, he meets a little girl whose problems are worse than his. He decides to leave his game and enter other games in search for a prized medal that he thinks will make him loved. Lonely and tired of being unappreciated, Ralph decides it’s time to change things. Ralph is the “Bad Guy” in the game “Fix-It Felix Jr.” His job is to break things so that Felix can come and fix them. It brings moviegoers into the world of arcade games and shows what the characters do when no one is playing their game.

Out of the Penthouse, Off to the Race – Score Wreck-It, Wreck-It Ralph – Buckner & GarciaĢ2. But in the meantime catch the soundtrack when it’s released October 30 th. Reilly and Jack McBrayer offering up their voices as Wreck-It Ralph and Fix-It Felix, and a ‘ Roger Rabbit‘-esque world-jumping narrative, we can’t wait to take a look when the film lands on November 2nd. The film’s director, Rich Moore (“ Futurama”), has clearly put a talented team together for the soundtrack, and luckily after a glimpse at the film’s trailer, that seems to extend wholeheartedly to the actual film itself.

Oh, and there’s also an original song by Owl City, “When Can I See You Again?” for what that information is worth. Finally, rounding out the collection are Rihanna‘s “Shut Up and Drive” and “Celebration” by Kool & The Gang. Only one of his songs, “Bug Hunt (Noisa Remix)” has landed intact, while the majority of the soundtrack belonging to composer Henry Jackman (“ X-Men: The Last Stand”), although Skrillex may have overseen certain aspects of it. Featuring a meta-video game narrative with 70+ characters shown, as well as a vibrant aesthetic that snaps attention to the screen, another compelling aspect remains the Skrillex-involved soundtrack, the details of which have just been released.Įyebrows were definitely raised when dubstep producer Skrillex announced he was following up Harmony Korine‘s “ Spring Breakers” by contributing music for ‘Ralph’ - as well as snagging a cameo in the film - but after a glimpse at the final tracklist, it seems that his presence as a solo artist will remain at a minimum for now.

Though initially low-profile on the Disney Animation release slate while ambitious in its scope, “ Wreck-It Ralph” has slowly become one of the more interesting offerings on show this holiday season.
